Blog 1: What I Did This Summer
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. My summer consisted of appreciating the little things in life, and enjoying each moment I had with those I love. Most of my days were spent training with my teams for this upcoming season, while in my off time I had unforgettable adventures. One of my favorite memories was when I was in New Symrna and I learned how to surf. Oh how powerful does that make you feel, on top of those waves – complete girl power. Going fishing, tubing, snorkeling, kayaking, and tanning are the main things I made sure I had time to do. However, no ocean, vacation, or sun can ever replace the experience I had with my team. From hardcore long practices to team socials, over the summer I made an insuperable bond with my twenty-nine sisters, and I am truly blessed for that. This time of the year for me not only means fun memories, but memories that truly remind you why you do what you do. Throughout the summer I trained myself each day harder than the day before, gaining new skills each time. The feeling of knowing hard work pays off is irreplaceable. I couldn't thank summer enough for the accomplishments I made.
