Competition season is upon us! It can be a hectic time, so here are 5 ways to make it less stressful and more fun for everyone:

  1. Traveling with another parent and cheerleader can be a great way to save money. You are able to split the cost of gas, hotel rooms, rental vehicles, etc.
  2. Make sure you have water in your competition bag along with some healthy snacks like granola bars, fruit or pretzels.
  3. If you have a white or light colored uniform, stain remover sticks or wipes are a must! Accidents happen and this will help keep the uniform from staining until it can be properly washed.
  4. Having cheer make up, hair spray, flat clips, pony tail holders and personal hygiene products in your competition day bag is a must. There will always be at least one cheerleader or parent frantically looking for help.
  5. No matter what problem pops up, remember to stay calm and know there will always be a coach or parent ready and able to lend a helping hand.
