Cheer Channel will bring famous football coach Jerry Rhome to the United Cheer Expo this weekend. Rhome has a long and storied career in football, beginning as an award-winning high school football player in Dallas, TX, then becoming a runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in his college career before going on to play and coach professional football.

After playing in three NFL Championship games, his coaching life began at the Seattle Seahawks, but he achieved further fame by earning his Superbowl ring with the Washington Redskins. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1998. Now, Rhome coaches not only the pros but children as young as ten years old. He uses his experiences to motivate audiences with his uplifting speeches.

Cheer Channel is an official sponsor of UCE 2011 and is bringing many exciting cheerleading events to the expo. The United Cheer Expo takes place October 7 - 9 at Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.
