Over a dozen cheerleaders from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College took home cheerleading awards at the recent UCA College Spirit Camp held at University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. Their mascot, the bulldog, was showing the spirit too, as he took home the Superior Mascot award. MGCCC is no stranger to athletic accolades, as their football team was co-national champion of the Junior College Athletic Association in 2007.
