Last month, alumni cheerleader Laura Eilers was named Ms United States of America for 2011. She won this title on July 14 at the pageant held at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas. Eilers beat out representatives of 17 other states to win the title.
Laura Eilers comes from a long and successful history in pro cheerleading. She was named a NFL Hall of Fame Game Cheerleader after working with cheer teams for both the St. Louis Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs. She has been a choreographer for the Chiefs and such diverse groups as the University of Richmond and the UFL Team the Virginia Destroyers.
In addition to drawing coverage from Alumni Cheerleaders (Eilers is a blogger for AlumniCheerleaders.com), the announcement has also set the science world buzzing because she is also the creative director and choreographer of the Science Cheerleaders, who were previously profiled on Cheer Channel. Eilers is also the creator of Going Pro, a company which helps talent services to alumni.
