Because of Veteran's Day, November often becomes the time when we all do our part to honor the troops who protect our country, and pro cheerleaders are certainly no exception. Throughout the month of November, cheerleaders from a number of NFL teams have paid tribute to our nation's uniformed service men and women through visits to bases and special performances.

On November 6, the New England Patriots Cheerleaders, including Alexa Flutie, were presented with a flag from the commander of a base in Iraq which the team visited in 2009. That same day, several Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders put on a show and posed for photos with troops stationed at Camp Buehring in Kuwait during a USO tour.

The Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders honored U.S. veterans and troops by performing a special military-themed halftime show at Lucas Oil Stadium. Through November 17, Washington Redskins Cheerleaders along with former NFL players R.W. McQuarters and Marco Rivera, are traveling throughout the Middle East to entertain stationed troops. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will be heading to Okinawa and Korea for a Christmastime troop visit from December 12-22.

Cheer Channel would like to extend our gratitude to all the soldiers who have served or who are currently serving our country. Thank you!
