Funeral services were held on May 31st in Buda, Texas for Drake Mallory, a 12 year old cheerleader with The Elite Cheer Company in South Austin, Texas. Drake died on May 23, after taking his own life. Drake reportedly was despondent after being bullied for being a male cheerleader. Drake was a member of TECC's Level 5 Hellcats and most recently appeared as a extra in Secret Diary 2, filmed on location at the TECC gym.

The TECC cheerleaders released 40 ballons into the sky in memory of Drake. Other cheerleaders and industry supporters showed their support for Drake's family and cheer family by writing in Drake's obituary guest book, published by the Austin American Statesman. Other supporters made donations to the Drake Memorial Fund to benefit organizations, charities and programs that will allow Drake to continue to touch the lives of others and make a difference in this world.

"It is sad to witness another victim of bullying ", said Cindy Villarreal. "We will continue to be active in our campaigns and supporting those of others who are crusading to stop the bullying of children". Our hearts go out to the Mallory family.
